Zappa Plays Zappa announce June 2009 UK leg of World tour

Newly Grammy'd Zappa Plays Zappa, featuring the late Frank Zappa's son Dweezil Zappa on lead guitar have just announced a UK tour.

The won a Grammy in the Best Rock Instrumental Performance category for their rendition of Zappa's 'Peaches En Regalia' at the Grammy awards last week.

The band were last over in the UK for a single London date at the Shepherds Bush Empire in 2007. The June tour kicks-off in London - again at the Shepherds Bush Empire on 14th June, calling at Birmingham's Symphony Hall the next day, Bristol's Colston Hall on 16th, the Bridgewater Hall in Manchester on 17th, Edinburgh's Picture House on 18th and over to Dublin for a Vicar Street date on 19th June.

The UK leg of the tour currently forms the last part of their extensive World tour, which sees the band in the US, Tokyo, Australia, France, Germany, Austria, Sweden, Poland and Holland.

Tickets for the UK dates go on sale on Weds 18th February at 9AM.
