The dates and acts for the annual Liverpool Summer Pops series of concerts has today been announced, and as usual includes a stellar cast of talent.

As per last year, the 2009 event will mark "Beatle Day" (10th July) with a concert. 2008 saw the first Beatle Day concert - with the 10th July being picked as an auspicious date, since it marked the date that the Beatles

Returned triumphantly from America in 1964.

Also playing Summer Pops concerts are Simply Red, Jools Holland, Deacon Blue and Australian Pink Floyd.

All events take place at the Echo Arena in Liverpool between 3rd July and 3rd August. Tickets, range from £19.50 - £34.50 + booking, and will be available on Friday 13th February at 9AM.
