Simply Red add Forest gig to their 'Farewell' tour

Simply Red, are setting off for a farewell world tour, to resume in Thailand on February 1st through to 2010, before disbanding forever, "as 25 years will be enough", frontman Mick Hucknall says.

The authors of such hits as 'Money's Too Tight (to Mention)', 'Holding Back the Years', 'It's Only Love' and 'Something's Got Me Started' will sing crowds goodbye in arenas across England, Scotland and Wales, between March 24th to April 9th, notably at the Glasgow Breahead Arena (March 24th) , the Cardiff International Arena (March 26th) , the London O2 (April 2nd and 3rd) and the Manchester Evening News Arena (April 5th).

Simply Red will also be taking part in the 2009 Forestry Commission's Live Music tour, with one show announced for June 21st at the Westonbirt Arboretum , near Tetbury, Gloucestershire (tickets cost £32.50, on sale this Friday, 9AM).

Last year, the band released 'Simply Red 25: The Greatest Hits' album, as well as a Collector's reissue of their 1991 'Stars' album.
