Deerhunter postpone March tour until May 2009

Posted: 15 years ago

You know the drill- "due to unforeseen circumstances"...

College radio darlings, Deerhunter, whose European tour was originally scheduled for March (4th-9th), have had to postpone it until May.

The self-labelled "ambient punksters", led by Bradford Cox, will now be playing seven shows in UK and Eire:

The Scala in London (May 18th), the Deaf Institute in Manchester (May 19th) , the City Sound Festival in Liverpool (May 23rd) and the Brudenell Social Rooms in Leeds (May 24th) , as well as the Stereo in Glasgow (May 20th) , the Black Box in Belfast (May 21st) and Whelans in Dublin (May 22nd).

Until then, lend an ear to the prolific five-piece's third and fourth albums, respectively 'Microcastle' and 'Weird Era Cont.', both simultaneously released last autumn.

Tickets for the original tour dates are either refundable or exchangeable at their original point of purchase.

New tickets cost on average under a tenner and are on sale now.
