So, welcome to the first official "Fat Friday" of 2009. We had a portly one last week, but this is the first fully fledged, fat-assed Friday... enjoy!

First up is the annual arts/ technology/ music festival that "places a strong emphasis on cutting-edge collaborations and visual culture". This year's event is a strong one, featuring heavy-hitters David Byrne, Brian Eno, Peaches, Royksopp and many more. Taking place over two-and-a-bit weeks from Thursday 9th April, tickets range from £12.00 to £40 and are on sale tomorrow (Friday 23rd Jan) morning at 10AM.

Lily Allen completes her hat-trick at the Shepherds Bush Empire, adding Sat 28th March to the schedule, which includes 26th and 27th March. Tickets costing £21.50 are available now for the 26th and 27th and from tomorrow morning (9AM) for the Saturday 28th date.

Best-selling saxophonist Kenny G is back in the UK after a hiatus of a twelve years. The tour "An Evening with Kenny G" hits the Birmingham Symphony Hall (20th April), Manchester Apollo (21st April), Glasgow Royal Concert Hall (23rd April), London Royal Albert Hall (27th April) and Bournemouth BIC (28th April). Tickets go on sale tomorrow at 9AM.

Former Libertine Peter Doherty plays his March tour in support of new album 'Grace/Wastelands' starting in Cardiff on 13th March - a few days prior to the release of the album (out on 16th March, feat. Graham Coxon, Adam Ficek and Drew McConnell).
