An Evening with Arthur Smith

An Audience with Arthur Smith will be a mixture of jokes, reflections, anecdotes, songs and poetry - but no dancing! After the event there'll be a book signing of his book 100 Things I Meant to Tell You.

Undisputed star of the popular TV series, ‘Grumpy Old Men’, where his unique brand of sardonic, eloquent and well-informed tetchiness struck a chord with the nation, he has performed live shows all over the world and has written every form of comedy from stand-up to full-length plays and screenplays. His play 'An Evening with Gary Lineker' ran for several years in London’s West End and he has performed regularly at the Edinburgh festival. He has appeared on ‘QI’, 'Have I Got News For You’ and ‘Never Mind the Buzzcocks’ and he appears regularly on Radio 4’s ‘Loose Ends’. He also presents ‘The Comedy Club’ on Radio 4 Extra. His 2009 autobiography 'My Name is Daphne Fairfax' was highly acclaimed, and his most recent book, the brilliant '100 Things I Meant to Tell You', brings together stories, poems, articles and musings written by Arthur over a colourful lifetime in comedy.
