Profile

Is it because I'm from Manchester that music runs thick through my veins? Or is my love of Manchester due to the fact that the music scene is among the most vibrant in the world? Whatever, the two go hand in hand and if you have ever walked the streets of Manchester, I'm sure that you can't fail to feel the rich musical heritage. To me, music comes out of every brick and every pavement and the music of Manchester dominates my list of favourite bands/artists. Obviously, my hometown doesn't have a monopoly over great music and I am open to new music from wherever it originates. In no particular order, here are some of my favourites: James, The Smiths, Morrissey, Stone Roses, Elbow, Doves, Radiohead, Echo &; The Bunnymen, Suede, The Charlatans, REM, U2, Badly Drawn Boy, The Verve, Richard Ashcroft, David Bowie, The Beatles, Buddy Holly, The Everly Brothers, Supergrass, McAlmont &; Butler, Sparklehorse, Nirvana, Gomez, Happy Mondays, The Rolling Stones, The Kinks, Roy Orbison, Mercury Rev, Richard Hawley, Parish Music Box, I Am Kloot... and on and on and on

OK, to the boring bit. I'm 33 and I am a Regional Manager for a business finance company. Aside from music, I follow football and watch Oldham Athletic home and away. I enjoy most sport and try to keep (reasonably) fit. A love of bitter means that I'm never quite as fit as I'd like to be. I enjoy reading crime thrillers and my favourite author is Jeffery Deaver. Anyway enough of me. Afterall, it's the music that matters.
