Single Review

With the name Lights Poxleitner (yes that is the name on her passport not a stage name) you can't help but think this 24 year old singer may be something special if not special she certainly is unique. February saw her come to the UK for the release of both new single 'Where the Fence is Low' and forthcoming album 'Siberia'.

Lights is by no means unknown to the music scene here having already been hailed The Guardian's New Band of the Day, describing her music as: 'Full of surging synth-pop melodies'. That description is definitely true of 'Where the Fence is Low', a unique track that lets her gentle vocals mix with the upbeat electronic pop melody - an undeniably captivating melody at that. If the rest of her album 'Siberia' follows the same route it won't be long before she's back to play more tours.
