Paper Crows' latest single has everyone talking for so many reasons mainly because they're being tipped as the next big rising stars in music. Also the fact that Mark Rankin, who mixed 'When Friends Survive' has worked with some of music's biggest names like; Adele, Florence & the Machine and Plan B has caught the attention of music critics everywhere. Putting all that aside however it's time to get down to what really matters, the music.
'When Friends Survive' is definitely not one of the better tracks I have heard this year. In fact this single makes it somewhat difficult to see why Paper Crows are being tipped as the next big thing. 'When Friends Survive' is repetitive, dull and to put it simply just noise, and not noise that I am happy to listen to. In this reviewer's opinion this act are not anything special, you may disagree though, and it's one of those where time will tell...
