Freddie Laid The Smack Down - Jake Morley Single Review
Single Review
On the back of a successful summer album release singer-songwriter Jake Morley liberates his new single safe in the knowledge that he already has a posse of influential fans including Radio 2's Dermot O'Leary and Jo Whiley and The Independent. I'm happy to saddle up with this particular bandwagon and give it a big-ish thumbs up.
Morley lifts himself from the large pool of self-penning song smiths by his confident approach and ear for a great tune and this tale of early school days and the almost hip hop influence in the rapid fire patter marks him out as one for the future - so watch your back Paolo!! Just to make sure there is no confusion over the lyrical content of this song it has nothing to do with any drug habit ex-England cricketer Andrew Flintoff may have (or probably has not)!
