Album Review

Enter Shikari do not play by the rules of being musicians of today and this latest CD proves that. July 11th sees them release 'Quelle Surprise'. Does it stand out as good as their previous work? Now that would just be a silly question not even worthy of asking.

Asides from this new surprise single they have also decided to release a live CD celebrating their Christmas 2010 show in Hatfield. The disk which shows Enter Shikari at their absolute best includes live favourites 'Motherstep/ Mothership', 'Hectic' and their most famous song to date 'Sorry You're Not A Winner'.

Any fan could be mistaken for being somewhat confused at the decision to release this live CD. Surely everyone has already heard these songs and the band would be better off spending their time recording some new ones. If that's the conclusion you are willing to come to, then you are wrong. What 'Live From Planet Earth' does do is to remind you why Enter Shikari work and give you an insight/ or a memory of a live show of a life time.

With slots at this summer's Reading and Leeds Festivals booked, this is one band that you would be more than a fool to miss live.
