44.66 Days - Argon 40 Single Review
Single Review
Made up of duo Adam Williams and Heather Greene, Argon 40 is a transatlantic easy electro band. Originally Adam would email beats from his studio in Los Angeles for Heather to write and record lyrics to in Edinburgh. When the two eventually united, Argon 40 was born.
Taken from their debut album Fair Lawn, '44.66 Days' has the ambiance of cyber-space delirium. A track you could drift away with, fans of Air, Portishead and Morcheeba will definitely appreciate its sound. Unfortunately this was not really for me. I found Greene's vocals to be a tad stagnant on this record, but I can appreciate it would make a solid soundtrack to an after hours party. Personally I cannot help but think Argon 40's cover of Tom Petty's Free Fallin', When I Fall and Sleeping With You - all featured within Fair Lawn - would have made better single releases.
