Now enshrined as rollicking indie, harmony twirling royalty in the minds of modern musos, Matt Bowman and crew continue to find it easy to carve out a hook laden groove. They are now on their third single from second album, 'Emergency' that took a little longer than their strutting, swaggering gem concealing debut to settle a few doubts about their merits. However, 'Say It Like You Mean It' is carefree and harmless. The lyrics capture a simple sincerity that comes across in the delivery.
Should it always be this easy?
Bowman exclaims, mid-chorus. Is he commenting on how they have fed on the appetite for dialogue driven indie that the Arctic Monkey have set off, by any chance?
