Album Review
Delicious Vinyl All Stars: Rmxxology! A blend of the past and present mixed to make one great musical cocktail! Released on the 22nd of Septemeber 2008, it's sure to make a dent in the music scene. The first two singles from the album has already made a giant footprint in today's DJs collection, the rest are sure to follow in their footsteps.
The album includes classics from the likes of Young MC, The Pharacyde, Masta Ace, The Brand New Heavies, and Fatlip. All these classics have been given a modern re-vamp, from artists like Peaches, Hot Chip, and Eminem.
Rmxxology came to life two years ago after Rick Ross met Peaches after a show. Peaches agreed to do her own version of Tone Loc's 'Wild Thing', they then started making a dream team of artists to make this outstanding album!
The album doesn't aim to create one style, in fact, it's created quite a few new styles. They haven't remixed to get people raving on the dancefloor, as Rick Ross explained 'After all, the original songs always brought people to the dancefloor anyway!'. The aim was to create alternative versions of the classics, and that's exactly what they've done!
Make sure you keep an eye out for Volume 2, which included classics from Tone-Loc, Mr. Vegas, Def Jef, and Born Jamericans. All these remixed by Diplo, DJ Medhi, Spank Rock & Armanda Black, MEN and Bass Over Babylon...also, keep checking for the RMXXOLOGY WORLD TOUR '08!!!!
To finish off then, well.....AMAZING!!!!
