Bugger. I had given up on the Zutons. Tiresome soul drones and a few memorable tunes did not make a lasting band in my eyes yet they score high points on the great-gigometer stakes at most festivals. Then they record this. It's a pounder, one of those catchy singalongs that isn't on the wrong side of the student disco tracks - and, blow me, if they don't do the guitar solo bits laced with a Jools Holland-style piano roll as well. An utterly appealing strut that might make certain radio statons bearable again instead of playing bloody "Valerie" all day.
