Runaway - Ladytron Single Review

Single Review
The 80's revival continues with another stab at pop-electro, Ladytron style. Think Dubstar, think Single Gun Theory, think Garbage and think Goldfrapp. Mix them up - hello Ladytron. It's no bad thing especially the lovely, clumpy Simmons-style drums on this rather forgettable 3 minutes. But they seem to please a passionate following that may well grow with this single and the upcoming tour throughout the UK and Ireland. Plus you cannot underestimate their clout in the remixing world - Placebo, Goldfrapp, Nine Inch Nails and Blondie have all had a cuddle from the fluffy arms of Ladytron yet this single doesn't display how talented they really are. The song is a sharp, synthetic barrage of minor-key electronic angst that leaves you curious but little else.
