On August 20th, The Automatic went online on a web chat to talk to a limited number of fans. I took the opportunity to ask the band questions of their upcoming Leeds/Reading performances, they're favourite things and anything else that popped into my head.
Which festival do you prefer to play at, Leeds or Reading?

What's been your favourite single to date?
I'd Say Steve McQueen
Who's the best guitarist in the band? James Frost or Paul Mullen?

What's your favourite bedroom move?
I like to do a triple summersault while bouncing
What's your favourite monster munch?
I love beef! They're hard to find though
Who are you tipping to win the mercury awards?

What's your opinion on the bands now departed member Alex Pennie?
Pennie's a lovely chap, unlike Gordon Brown who's a complete C*nt.
If the band could have anything in the world, what would it be?
Cyborg..initially I'd enforce the law a la robocop, then I'd just start snapping people up that I didn't like
