CSS are a prime example of being in the right place at the right time and getting loads of exposure via one song, "Death From Above". Yeah whatever.
This single doesn't light my fire, NME fans, so get used to it. Remember Dubstar? I liked them, they had humour and sounded remotely like this only better. Remember Sugababes? They do the same sort of thing only with more kitsch. Remember The Breeders? Oh blimey so do CSS - they have covered their marvellous "Cannonball" for the flip. It is actually more interesting than the main song. I'm not sold. If you want to prance about on stage in a leotard at festivals for 15 minutes then fine. Know when to stop. Now. This derivative and shallow nonsense does not bode well for the album which feels as though it is coming too soon after their reasonable debut. Hmmmmmm.....
