Now You're Gone (sampler) - Basshunter Album Review

Album Review
The promotional copy of Basshunter's new album gives an insight into their musical stylings. They've already received plaudits for their number one track 'Now You're Gone' which is bursting with dance floor beats and centred around a couple breaking up. The song remained number one for five weeks and features a massive crescendo interlude during the middle of the song. They follow a similar format for their number two charting 'All I Ever Wanted' which also bears similar repetitive lyrics and follows on from the theme in 'Now You're Gone'. Both tracks combine Basshunter's instrumental exploits with his soft voice. Other tracks include the slightly less phenomenal 'Angel In the Night', 'Walk on Water' and 'Please Don't Go' which give the term album filler enhanced meaning.
Basshunter's current success can be attributed down to their unique blend on vocals and dance which is often overlooked in the current clubbing scene. Having already produced two big U.K hits, Basshunter will be looking to take the world by storm. The only thing stopping him is his consistent re-usage of the same electodance sounds. In all five songs on the promo, Basshunter includes interludes at similar sounds and makes the songs worryingly parallel to each other. Still, this is a young artist that's going to blossom nicely on the world stage.
