Cracking choice of single from everyone's favourite Antipodean philosopher and all round good egg. The album "Dig Lazurus Dig" has been in most music-fan and critic's mid-year resume and this has been recognized by Mojo readers with them voting it Album Of The Year at the Mojo 2008 Honours awards last week. With the imminent release of his book, Mr Cave is looking to end this highly rewarding year on a high.
This single is a reflective, organ-driven burst of road-movie music with the usual hint of carnal no-nos and Lynch-like eccentricity. If you can picture the beautiful landscape of his film, The Proposition laced with a spot of Blue Velvet and Easy Rider then you are someway there. Everybody is indeed coming over to Cave's place.....
