Single Review
Through 2004's debut album 'And The Gospel Of Progress', the world-weary and wisdom espousing Texan, Micah P Hinson broadened the appeal of searching western country/folk music. Four years on, his calmingly commanding touch has not been lost. This cushioning sub-two minute single leaves a lasting impression for its mournful musing about drifting apart from a significant other.
Stroking female backing by way of timely placed "ooohhh oohhss", softens the blow of the harsh life lesson that's delivered through the lyrics and it complements the Texan's sternly reflective vocal sway. Hinson and his foraging acoustic sound is a great accompaniment to a cold beer and summer's evening.
