Single Review
It occasionally dawns upon me how a band can end up being signed by a record label. Sometimes maybe it’s just not my taste, but in this case I am bewildered. The Postmark’s single 'Goodbye' sounds like something cultivated from the Seed of Chucky films, combining an eerie vocalist with xylophone led backing music. The Postmarks have received plaudits throughout America, even Perez Hilton [Yes the pink haired gimp] is a fan, yet I can’t comprehend how this song is popular within any genre of music. The lyrics are very heartfelt in Goodbye, with
Goodbye, I'm not gonna cry as I'm hopping that train knowing that I won't see you again.
With these lyrics utilised in a different song it could really create a hit, but they just further my amazement as they are seemingly sung by a tainted six year old. The addition of the xylophone just furthers the horror-inspired song ghastly sound. Awful awful song there aren’t enough adjectives I can use to describe it. If it makes it anywhere near the top 100 in the U.K, I’ll actually buy the single out of good faith.
