Propane Nightmares - Pendulum Single Review

Single Review
‘Propane Nightmares’ is one of many songs featured on Pendulum’s new album ‘In Silico’. ‘Propane Nightmares’ is perhaps one of the best songs on the album. With an eclectic mix of euphoric rave music and rock, this song is somewhat different from Pendulum’s previous singles, yet the combination of the genres works well and makes it as upbeat and interesting. The classic drum and Bass found in all of Pendulum’s music is developed with the use of new instruments making it different and exciting.
I recently saw Pendulum at the Southampton guildhall and ‘Propane Nightmares’ was definitely one of the most popular songs with the audience, perhaps because the song contains many more words than Pendulum’s other work and therefore people could sing along. The song helped create a brilliant atmosphere at the concert and is definitely worth listening to.
Unfortunately, for avid Pendulum fans, this could be a disappointment because unlike their previous hits, ‘Slam’, ‘Fasten Your Seatbelts’, ‘Propane Nightmares’ is quite a soft melodic song and does not seem to develop to an amazing climax. However, this new album should attract new listeners and was an interesting change from the usual.
