Black - Metallica Classic Album Review

Metallica
Classic Album Review
Metallica truly hit their peak after the release of their self titled album which eventually became known as ‘Black’, due to its album cover. The band has failed to achieve the heights of this album which features popular song ‘Enter Sandman’ and eerily acoustic number ‘Nothing Else Matters’.
The four piece band show their ability when they ditch the ‘thrash metal’ tag to play some slower songs including ‘The Unforgiven’. Second track ‘Sad But True’ stays true to Metallica’s roots being a fast-paced song driven by James Hetfield’s powerful vocals. The album is widely considered to be the bands best work, and with the variations between each song it gives Metallica a different sound to their previous work ‘Kill ‘Em All’ and ‘Ride The Lightning’.
