Live DVD Review

What can you say about Muse that you wouldn’t have heard before? Acclaimed for their live acts at almost every award show across Britain, it seemed logical to release a live cd and dvd from their concert in Wembley Stadium. The release contains a live cd from their first gig on the 16th of July, whilst the dvd covers the following date.

This review is based around the cd. As expected, the quality of Muse’s unbeatable live performances comes across well on the album. The track list is certainly tedious however, as unlike with the dvd the cd doesn’t feature the full set list for the day, meaning the likes of ‘Feeling Good’ and ‘Plug In Baby’ are exclusive to the dvd. In spite of this, the cd itself is brilliant. ‘Knights Of Cydonia’ comes across much better live, whilst the cd also revives forgotten classics ‘New Born’ and ‘Unintended’. Definitely worth a purchase, and that’s without me having watched the dvd yet.
