This is the first of my weekly classic albums. This week is ‘Radiohead’ with their 1995 album ‘The Bends’.
Radiohead have often been acclaimed as one of the best bands around. The band made 3 appearances in Q magazine top 100 albums ever!
The album itself is a masterpiece, with Mark Ronson recently making his own rendition of ‘Just’. Other key tracks include ‘My Iron Lung’ which features a distinctly memorable guitar introduction, whilst final track ‘Street Spirit (Fade Out)’ proves to be one of the standout songs. ‘Black Star’ and ‘High And Dry’ are the other songs that make this album certainly one of the best in the last 15 years. Its unique sound will never be replicated and is worth a listen for any music fan.
