Single Review
The Envy corps single off their new album ‘Dwell’ fits well into the current indie scene. After receiving such glowing similarities as the next Radiohead or Doves, there is a lot to expect from them. The music is quite anthem-based, with drumming which have proven a winning formula since the re-emergence of nu-rave music. The song is quite average itself, with Arctic Monkeys sounding vocals perhaps not utilised enough with the band favouring numerous instrumentals. The song eventually becomes slightly tedious because of the lack of lyrics, which lets down a potential winning effort.
Overall, there is definitely room for improvement. However, the band have shown they can make decent sounding music and have something to build with here.
