The Welsh artist, Duffy has already received rave reviews and similarities to Amy Winehouse. The singer has brought out ‘Mercy’ as the second single off her second album ‘Rockferry’.
The track itself is rather average, containing nice backing instruments and an average song which becomes slightly repetitive after a few listens. The track has done remarkably well internationally in the charts, hitting number one in U.K and Ireland in both downloads and CD sales too.
However the song doesn't have the best structure and seems to go round in a circle and requires some variation to be considered a good song. Worth a listen for Winehouse fans, otherwise generally avoid and listen to Radiohead instead.
