Seventh Tree - Goldfrapp Album Review

Goldfrapp
Album Review
The duo of Alison Goldfrapp and Will Gregory has in the past brought us some of the signature tunes of the noughties and new release 'Seventh Tree' thankfully seems to be no exception. In complete contrast to previous albums like 'Supernature' and 'Black Cherry', Goldfrapp leave the pop/electronica fusions and pounding club beats at the door and hark back to the more folksy, stripped down sound of their spectacular debut album 'Felt Mountain'.
'Seventh Tree' is a heady, dreamy mix of exquisite tunes which flow seamlessly, so much so it's hard to sometimes figure out where one track ends and another starts. Stand out tracks like 'Monster Love' and 'Happiness' have impressive melodies that are complex yet very evocative and Ms Goldfrapp's seductive voice weaves through them beautifully.
'Seventh Tree' is inspired yet original and in many places quite unique, I defy you listen to this and not fall under the Goldfrapp spell. Buy it now and revel in its delights.
