Young Knives

Single Review

It’s relentless, it’s frantic and it leaves you eager for more.

Just as well, because “Up All Night” is a taster of the forthcoming second album ‘Superabundance’ and if this is filled with more of the same then we surely in for a thrilling treat.

Having been nominated for the Mercury Music Prize with their debut album ‘Voices of Animals and Men’, it’s always going to be a tall order to keep on a steep upward curve when expectations are so high.

But with this latest track they’ve kicked off their 2008 in barnstorming fashion and you can’t help but be energized and enthused by their rigorous fresh style, which incorporates multi-layered harmonies and hooks with amusing yet intelligent lyrics.

There is just nothing ordinary or bland about the Young Knives and this exciting track, along with their bizarre video, will do wonders to endear them to an even wider audience and thrust them towards the highest echelons of the pop rock standings.
