Single Review
Saosin lack soul. Their new single, You're Not Alone seems like a lazy and convenient way to shift records and proves to be a generic American stadium rock ballad. The band struggle to combine feeling with the simplest of guitar melodies and the drums lack the intensity for such a big song. When the massive chorus comes in supported by overdriven guitars, crashing cymbals and a hurricane of backing vocals the song fails to inspire anything other than indifference. Whilst as emotional as singer, Cove Reber tries to sound it is clear that this is not an heartfelt effort.
