Undercut

Single Review

Amongst the basic four-chord structure and sleazy lyrics of upcoming Bristol quintet, Undercut's new single Hot In That there is plenty of energy and honesty that underlies the song. An assured bass guitar line coupled with skilled, heavy guitars give the song a rough yet confident edge reminiscent of American garage rock bands such as The Kings Of Leon and Black Rebel Motorcycle Club. The chorus sounds a little too close to the sounds of so-called American punk bands such as The Offspring, which is slightly disappointing, but it does make the song incredibly contagious and ensures that it will be very popular in night clubs.
