Koopa

Single Review

They nabbed an opening slot at the Isle of Wight Festival, won a Myspace award for their self promotional efforts and the coveted Achievement Award of 2007. Participating in extensive tours across the UK and US and on the back of two previous singles that saw the band chart in the UK Top 40, the release of the bands latest attempt The Crash is made all the more of a delight. Following in the steps of previous Koopa releases this intelligent piece of stadium quality indie rock with the usual highly charged guitar action from Ollie Cooper, a clattering of drums from Stuart Cooper and a swirling, body rocking, calorific bass line from Joe Murphy, reigns supreme with Quo like prowess, melodic yet aggressive boarding the revolutionary.

Entitled The Crash it's quality is far from being a disaster and more likely that future packed out tour venues will resemble huge indoor trampoline parks rather than the inside of a busy A&E department.
