Leap Of Faith - Hadouken! Single Review

Hadouken
Single Review
As a taste of their forthcoming USB Stick only release Not Here To Please, containing six new tracks, East London’s fuzzy independent electronic and guitar colliding expansionists, Hadouken! Unleash their most full on and in your face rock edging drive. Doing for the indie kids what The Rezillos did for new wave.
Down to earth lyrics with a positive punch are delivered with a slightly paranoid, hurried vocal nudge by James Smith, winding around spacey guitars and whirling synths, but most of all, bolstered by the high profile percussion drill of Nick. This represents a new energy level for Hadouken! Producing what many had hoped that The Horrors were going to achieve and probably would have done but for their flighty kitsch deviations. A Leap Of Faith is certainly what is required by those stuck in a The Twang comfort zone, but it’s certainly worthwhile.
