Along with fellow crisp, contemporary acoustic based weavers such as Matt Costa, Jack Johnson and Scott Mathews. Newton Faulkner is bringing subtlety and down-to-earth searching and reflection back to the airwaves, as he manages to communicate his aching nature without sounding at all forced.
Faulkner slides in his winding acoustic element that matches his stretched blues-tinged and slight folk bolstered vocals over a melting, drawn out light, funk backdrop. This is something that adds brightness and variety to this songster's range, as he grows in reputation and impact.
