Single Review

Fair to Midland are one of those bands who mix the varying elements of heavy rock with the shower of sub genres that became prevalent in the mid to late nineties like the pop punk and post grunge movements. 'Dance Of The Manatee'

taken from the bands latest lengthy titled album 'Fables From A Mayfly: What I tell You Three Times Is True' is a track which for any newcomers initiation to the band is a perfect mix of the varying styles the band posses. With musical elements ranging from a more commercially friendly, light and delicately crafted acoustic swell to the bands usual intervention of deathly clad vocals and explosively charged reverberating guitar riffs.

It's a gem and the bands formula of hook laden metal guitar driven melodies shines through. Andrew Sudderth, the bands lead vocalist, turns vocal chameleon from a quivering songbird to theatrically, deep and aggressive chorus induced Napalm Death/ Sepultura wannabe.

Huge popularity state-side now sees them attempt to launch an attack in the UK and Europe and the bands unique brand of emphatically charged rhythms are sure to turn heads.
