With an ambitious Arena tour ahead of Doherty and co, it is of no surprise that this lead single is the most polished and pop-skirting that Babyshambles or Pete in general has been. His vocals have a deeper and slightly maudlin feel to make up for the more roving instrumental backdrop that grows out from a tingling and positive intro. The subtle production touches of Stephen Street, aids the commercial appeal of this lead single taken from forthcoming 2nd album Shotter’s Nation and it could show a new side to this troubled soul.
