Ghosts - Ghosts Single Review

Ghosts
Single Review
The far-fetched notion that indie/pop band Ghosts offer material comparable to indie rockers Radiohead is quite honestly laughable, they're like chalk and cheese. On the other hand more believable and commendable in quality is the similarity of lead singer Simon Pettigrew's vocal which oozes comparable tone and texture to Bluetones lead singer Mark Morriss making him a fine front man to the band.
A dreamy soundscape of plucked acoustics winds its way for a short spell on the imaginatively titled latest serving Ghosts, before being confronted by rasping electrics, jaunty drums and the husky, timid vocals of Pettigrew. As an upbeat catchy chorus shines its way through the fairground attraction that this single emits, it suddenly springs to mind how well the tracks lyrical subject matter adorns the tracks nature and mood. Being less however about the supernatural and more about forgetting the past.
