Emitting their steely sounds slap bang in one of music's most fertile breeding grounds the band The Courteeners are fast becoming the groupies band of choice. Driven from the helm by lead vocalist and guitar talent Liam Fray, The Courteeners strongly influenced by the British guitar music of the 60's and 70's, blast out tunes with an emphasis on good times with catchy hooks and lyrics of relevance to the younger generation who's main concern nowadays seems to be packing their tiny frames with copious amounts of Stella and getting lairey.
Packing a hefty punch with a variety of stylistic influences including 60's beat music, punk rock and new wave, fiery electrics ignite an already smouldering taper on The Courteeners a-side track. The very word, Cavorting
conjures up images of rowdy times, care free times and for any twenty something growing up during the Brit-pop explosion, a resubmission to those heady days that gave birth to the whole Blur v Oasis fracas. Simply put, Cavorting is a gem of a track that shines out amongst a gaggle of inconsequential shite that fans of The Jam will love.
