Melody Day - Caribou Single Review

Caribou
Single Review
Caribou's roots lie in Ontario Canada, a wild and wind swept corner of Northern America, the kind of place where wild, wind swept evenings led Daniel Snaith, aka Caribou to dabble in the musical arts to reduce the boredom. Adopting elements of his maternal homeland and a love for electronic composition, Snaith releases 'Melody Day', a track leading the old aural passages back in time to the mellow vibes of the 70's. Mixing Snaith's love of electronica and dream pop where the music is focused on ethereal textures and moods, rather than on propulsive rock riffs, angelic harmonies and a riot of percussional flair escalate a bitter sweet pop melody into a sensual, sonically ambitious sounds cape. 'Melody Day', it quite simply does what it says on the tin.
