Working Class Hero - Green Day Single Review

Green Day

Single Review

Taken from the charity album 'Karma' (Out on the 25th of June) which is basically for the Sudan crisis, the now pop-punk rockers take a John Lennon song and give it a bigger rock twist.

This actually works, unlike the horrendous attempts made on Lennon's famous band 'The Beatles' 'Sgt. Pepper' album.

Greenday return once again on a political agenda, making a point whilst creating loud rock. However, there's none of the anger that should be in this song: the line 'You're still ****ing peasants as far as I can see,' should be a snarl, not just the meagre line Billy Joe sings.

But that is something to be easily ignored whilst listening to this track; it's just that good.

Even if you don't like Greenday, at least download it for charity's sake.
