Single Review
The Little Ones are new on the UK scene but you'd be forgiven for thinking their new single 'Lovers Who Uncover' was a forgotten American indy pop hit from the late 90s.
In essence it's cheesy and retro and just has that familiar vibe from days gone by but at the same time this joyous song is perfect for the hot summer festivals and long road trips in the searing heat.
There's nothing wrong with musical bubblegum in small doses especially when there's at least an energetic guitar rhythm setting the tone but just be warned not to over do it with this one and please avoid leaving it on repeat - otherwise you'll feel like you've eaten way too much candy.
On the plus side it's sure to brighten up your day no matter what mood you're in, and such a seasonal effort deserves a prominent place in the sun.
The B-side on this single, 'There's A Pot Brewin' is arguably much better, which much more depth and longevity and it's somewhat of a surprise why the Californian band opted for 'Lovers Who Uncover' as the main track.
