Stuck Between Stations - The Hold Steady Single Review

Single Review
Tingling, melody driven rising rock that gives reverence to the likes of Thin Lizzy and The Strokes, has seen this Craig Finn fronted out steadily rise in recognition with each offering. Stuck Between Stations is the prize fruit from third album Boys And Girls In America and the way that it captures everyday life and love, has helped the band’s reputation swell. Finn’s deep and slightly coarse cries from the heart ride on the throbbing bass lines, like a surfer and he has a reassuring tone that adds to the endearing impact. The Hold Steady has enough of a pitch to appeal to the rockers out there, but sufficient sentiment is also prevalent to draw in a range of listeners.
