Honest, searching pop expands from spindling guitar base, as the songster Newton Faulkner opens his soul. In doing so he treads a path similar to Matt Costa and Jack Johnson and a slight jazz feel surrounds his life bearing points. Having sold out his self-released debut EP Ugly Truth, Faulkner builds towards a debut album that, if timed right, could keep the current love affair betwixt listeners and the singer/song writer, blossoming throughout the summer.
