Four Winds - Bright Eyes Single Review

Bright Eyes
Single Review
Part Dylan, part The Crimea, sees the return of Conor Oberst who has been getting tongues wagging and pens moving with his feeling packed theatrical and tremulous vocals, built upon an old fashioned bluesy instrumental kick. This formula continues to be adhered to in this single and it still pangs of sincerity. There has been criticism that Oberst and his band cannot pull off the same feeling and force in a live setting. Well, once again, he has produced a gripping offering that digs deep and does not hide feelings and seems perfect for a live setting. Not many people will forgive them if they cannot pull numbers like this off in the dynamic gig environment.
