Possibly the strangest named person I've heard of in a while - Oxford-based Joff Winks and his band were winners of a Battle of the Bands on Zane Lowe's 'Fresh Meat' competition on Radio 1 with their first download track Juniper.
Someone Else's Words gives you a hint as to why they won the competition, instantly grabbing your attention with a nice electric guitar riff, accompanied by an acoustic, and occasional keys, the track demands a second, then a third, then a fourth… hearing, bearing-out it's catchiness.Though the momentum of the track is slowed in the chorus, it works out well when the whole song mellows-out waiting for the middle eight to kick-in - which it does quite nicely, accompanied by a high frequency synth sound.
