Wistful and unassuming reflection is delivered with consummate ease as Findlay throws his carefree lullaby tones around from a tingling acoustic web. This makes the pleading nature that strikes out of the lyrics and vocal projection, sincere and even a little startling. ‘Come Home’ sees Brown nudging his way through the gaps to join contemporaries Scott Mathews and Adem at the fresh end of this spectrum. This former bare knuckle fighter could bring peace even to Mike Tyson after someone has just cut him off at a junction.
