Single Review

The Sheffield scene just keeps on churning them out at the moment. Although, this fourth single of swirling tempo street indie, has more in common with contemporaries like The Others than any of the bands from their home city. That said, the charging riffs and bold bass lines give the A-side a similar shot of adrenalin to the one that pumps through some of Milburn's songs.

'SRI's + Big Bore 4's', sees the trio adding a forlorn street poet element to the vocals, enabling them to tread in the same loafers as Just Jack. Fuzzy bass lines delivered by Jono West lend some steel to the accompaniment, completing a punchy offering. This is perfect material for a dingy live set in a disused attic and, on well received debut album 'Dits From The Commuter Belt', there's plenty more where this came from.
