The Human League started life in Sheffield as an avant-garde all-male synthesizer-based group, featuring Martyn Ware, Ian Craig Marsh, Philip Oakey and Philip Adrian Wright.
Moving to a more commercial sound (that also saw Martyn Ware axed), the band started to taste success in 1981 with the release of 'Dare'.
Current line-up features Philip Oakey on vocals/ keyboards, Joanne Catherall - vocals and Susan Ann Sulley - vocals as well as: Rob Barton (percussion), Nic Burke, Neil Sutton (co-songwriter/ keyboards) and David Beevers (engineering)
