"Based on the true story of Cuchito Castro, who forms an all-girl band with her sisters to escape both her father’s and society’s expectations for her life, this musical is about freedom through adversity. Set in Cuba in the 1930s and spanning three decades, Cuchito and her sisters break every conventional barrier to perform in the open air cafes in Havana, to play as invited guests throughout South America and, the ultimate, to appear in Europe. Follow their fortunes as the girls become one of the most famous Latin bands of the era – until the revolution and the arrival of Fidel Castro."
